SCENT OF MAGIC COVER ART!

Of course the caveat that this isn't final final, but pretty darn close :)   This is the US/Canada editon.  So?  What do you think?  I love the colors. Does Kerrick remind you of anyone??  And there's a slight spoiler for TOUCH OF POWER in the cover copy so if you haven't read the book, you might want to skip that :)

    I LOVE it!!! I like it better than Touch of Power, though I really liked that one too. This brings an almost ethereal quality.

    Can't wait!!! I'll be first in line at the bookstore on release day.

    Looks good, but I really can't wait for the UK cover reveal as I loved the Study/Glass/Power covers a lot more than the US ones... the person who designs them is great (whoever they are!!)

    My only problem is the guy on the cover doesn't really seem like Kerrick. I just pictured him differently.

    Hmm, this is the first cover of yours I've seen with a guy on it. I love everything about the cover except for him. He seems kind of vague in the background while she is so sharply well drawn. That and I think I like the mystery of picturing how your male characters look like in my head. ;-) Either way, I'm super excited!

      can you actually buy ice/power study? also i always thought he was ver like a mix of valek/devlan with some new very cool parts but then valek and devlan are so great how can you get better than mr dreamguy flawed but perfect at least thats what i though until i read this he is just one level higher right? sooo dreamy and btw cover guy is soooooo HOT!!!!!!

    Once again, another fantastic cover. As much as I expect Avry to be beautiful I would also expect her to have plenty of visible scars... And is it just me or does Kerrick look like he has a secret... Cant wait!!

    Whoa! Stunning. I usually am so jealous of the Australian and UK covers which I liked better for some of your other books, but this time the US cover is stunning! I really love it. Can't wait to get my Maria Snyder fix either when this book comes out finally!

    Thanks everyone! I can't take any credit for the cover art as my publisher's art department does all that.

    The UK cover designer is Henry Steadman (www.henrysteadman.com) and I agree, he does a fantastic job with all my covers.

    SCENT OF MAGIC is due out at the very end of 2012 in the US.

    Kerrick doesn't match how I imagined him - he has shoulder-length hair that's a little darker, but the face is close. I thought he looked a little like an older Josh Hutcherson (Peeta from the Hunger Games).

    I finished Touch of Power a few days ago and absolutely LOVED it!

    I can't wait for Scent of Magic! I'm so excited that this book will have scenes from Kerrick's POV! AHHHHHHH. *happy dance*

House Cleaning

I'm cleaning out my inbox.  It's amazing just how many emails can lurk below what I can see on my computer screen.  I think they hide there, hoping I'd forget about them ;>  I've long since given up my goal of being "caught up" with all my email replies.  Now, if I'm only a week or two behind, I'm feeling pretty good. What exactly are we celebrating?  Three things.  One - I've over 500 Followers!  Considering my off again on again relationship with this blog, that's pretty impressive.  Two - I just received my copies of TOUCH OF POWER.  (author perk!)
