TOP Blog Tour - Map Quest!

A question I'm often asked is how do I develop the world/map in my fantasy novels.  Well, now you can read the answer and see how I created the map for TOUCH OF POWER on today's official blog tour stop Seeing Night Reviews.  You'll see the progression of maps from basic to more detailed (below is the final map that's in the book).  Of course there is another chance to win a free copy :)

Here's the link:  http://seeingnight.blogspot.com/2012/01/author-guest-post-giveaway-touch-of.html

And Seeing Night Reviews also reviewed the book here: http://seeingnight.blogspot.com/2012/01/review-touch-of-power-by-maria-v-snyder.html

Other news - the UK blog tour will be starting on Tuesday, January 9, 2012 and I'll post all the links soon!  I went skiing last night for the first time since last March - my legs are killing me!

And I saw this in the paper this morning and thought I'd share:

Eight specially designed and shaped coffins*:
The mobile phone coffin
The egg coffin
The blue guitar coffin
The skateboard grind macabre coffin
the yacht coffin
the kite coffin
the Rolls Royce coffin
The beer bottle coffin (mounted on a brewer's delivery truck)

I want a book shaped coffin so I could be buried in a book ;>)

  1. You mean you'd have your friends and family bury a book? I mean burying you'd be hard enough, but burying an innocent book? That's just pure horror!

  2. My sister would love to be burried in a book
