This just in - the paint's a little wet so be careful not to smudge it ;> Cover art for SCENT OF MAGIC for the UK edition. Which will be released 18 December 2012.
So? What do you think? I love the colors and there are some really neat elements. But...white? Not the uniform I imagined, but it's eye catching, which is what the cover art is supposed to do -get the book noticed.
Now that the excitement of DAWN STUDY's release is winding down and the feedback I've gotten has been super fantastic, I'm giving away 20 copies of SHATTERED GLASS' audio book - narrated by the extremely talented Gabra Zackman.
If you haven't read SHATTERED GLASS - it's an eNovella about Opal and the story events happen after NIGHT STUDY and go into the beginning of DAWN STUDY.
Here's the cover copy: While trying to teach her adopted daughter, Reema how to work with molten glass, Opal receives a letter from Master Magician Zitora Cowan requesting Opal's immediate help. Zitora resigned from the Sitian Council over two years ago to search for her lost sister and no one has heard from her since. The letter is probably a trick, but Opal refuses to pass up the opportunity to help her mentor who may be in genuine trouble. DAWN STUDY (forthcoming February 28, 2017)
No cover art yet!
I hope this helps :).
Today I have the pleasure of interviewing author Jordan Elizabeth about her latest YA release COGLING (love the cover!). Jordan emailed me years ago. She enjoyed my books and she asked me for some writing advice. Over the years, she's been in touch with questions and updates about her writing. She even invited me to be a guest speaker at her writing critique group in upstate New York! Needless to say, I was thrilled when Jordan sold her stories and even more honored when she asked me to read COGLING for a cover blurb. And this is what I said, "Hooked from the very first chapter, I loved this unique tale of adventure filled with engaging characters and non-stop action!"
Jordan is giving away one copy of COGLING. It's open to ALL - see below for the Rafflecopter to enter the giveaway.
Here's the blurb: When fifteen-year-old Edna Mather tears an expensive and unfamiliar pocket watch off her little brother’s neck, he crumbles into a pile of cogs right before he…
