I also thought, since I have a box of SCENT OF MAGIC books sitting in my office, I'd offer a signed copy to a random commenter on my blog. Belen! I love Poppa Bear. He may be a minor character in the Healer series, but he's a big guy with a big heart!

From your study series I love Kiki and Fisk. But from your insiders series I love Zippy, he may not be an actual character, more like an object, but he helps Trella in a lot of ways

Definitely Pazia. She has a strong magical presence and effect on Opal at the start of the Glass series, without really being present. After her horrific, befalling circumstances, she grows into a kind hearted beautiful person who has carefully placed life priorities. Anyone can learn from her growth experience.

Quartz, definitely, from that one scene in the last chapter of Spy Glass. And Devlen's my favorite major character.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it would have to be either Dilana, Zitora, or Mama. Probably Zitora, because her spectum runs from warm and loving with Yelena, to tough and resourceful when on her adventures with Opal.

Got to be YELENA. she has got such an interesting past and i find her mind so interesting. it's a close call between Yelena and Valek because i really want to know his past because it is so secret; but yelena wins for me!

Bain from the Study Series was a favorite minor character of mine! He seemed like a cool level-headed guy. I liked that he didn't rush to conclusions. He was a very wise master magician!

Valek is my number one. I just love the type of man he is...mysterious, dangerous, reserved and calculating... yet when he is with Yelena he is warm and loving and open with her. Plus He gets bonus points for stone carving, as an artist myself that speaks to the creator in me. Yummmm, Valek.

I used to love Kerrick when i was younger but then I reread the healer series this summer and the moment he lost his temper and hit Avery I couldn't get past the next page cause i hated him so much.

I love Kiki. She is the most amazing character, even though she's a horse. She helps Yelena and is sometimes smarter than the people she is around. I can't believe she didn't make the top favortie characters!!! :/

For me it's Logan, not seeing much from your Inside Out novels but I love techy characters and Logan really develops as a character to me, Broken Man comes in second.
ReplyDeleteWell, Valek and Yelena will always be my favorites but since they are the main characters and this request was for obscure/minor characters . . . I'm going to say Ari and Janco. They aren't exactly obscure or all that minor, but they are more minor than Valek/Yelena/the main protagonists.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite minor/obscure character from your books would have to be Fisk. He has really become a developed character since his debut in Magic Study & I love his tenacity. If you ever decide to create a spin-off series starring him, I would definitely read it. :)

Frankly, had I been in the same situation I would resent my sister to, although I don't really think she does......
She is strong and I love that.

Oh and Ari and Janco do rock and I think we should start looking for someone that could play Valek for when they make the movie!

Ok so I just finished the first book in the glass series and am waiting for the next two to arrive in the mail. I feel like my favorite minor character is gonna be from that series but since I haven't finished it yet I'm not gonna pick from there.
ReplyDeleteI'd haveta say that Rand and Cahil fascinated me because there was a lot of good in them but they were very troubled and easily influenced. Because of this you never knew what they were gonna do next! And I think they both took a better path in the end!

I would have to say my favourite minor character of all your series is Rand. He was just such a human character (not saying the others weren't :P) He struck a chord with me in how he gave into his weakness, but in the end redeemed himself so thoroughly. It made me think what he could've done had he gone a different path.

My favorite minor character is Maren. She's like a moody older sister that teaches bad-ass bow defense. I always felt a bit bad for her because of her crush on Valek and her friendship with Yelena. And I love how she comes back in Fire Study to help the group when they really need it. Love all your books.
